A forum titled “Looking into the Future of the Tax System: A New Governance Model and Data-Driven Decisions” was held at the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. As part of the event, taxpayers who distinguished themselves in various categories were honored with awards.

During the forum, particular recognition was given to enterprises that play an important role in the country’s economic development and consistently fulfill their tax obligations with integrity. At the ceremony, Göygöl Wine Plant OJSC was awarded in the nomination “Regional Tax Champion.”

This award reflects the high appreciation of the company’s long-standing commitment to transparency in its operations, the timely and full fulfillment of its tax obligations, and its significant contribution to the development of the national economy.

As one of the oldest wineries in Azerbaijan, Göygöl Wine Plant is widely known not only for producing high-quality products but also for adhering to the principles of transparent business management, compliance with legislation, and social responsibility. The enterprise places strong emphasis on tax discipline and makes a substantial contribution to the formation of the state budget.

The awarding of this distinction confirms that Göygöl Wine Plant follows a responsible and sustainable business model while fulfilling its obligations to the state and society at a high level.

It is worth noting that Göygöl Wine Plant OJSC, with a history spanning more than 165 years, is one of the oldest producers of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan. The company’s products, marketed under the “Xan 1860” brand—including the renowned Karabakh wines, celebrated for their refined taste—are exported to various countries and have received numerous prestigious international awards and certifications.

At the same time, the company continues to expand its product portfolio. Since 2026, Göygöl Wine Plant has launched the production of drinking water under the “Göygöl” brand, as well as a range of flavored lemonades under the “Tutu” brand. These new product lines further complement the company’s portfolio and allow it to offer consumers a wider selection of high-quality beverages.
